Q&A with Westerville South wide receiver Jordan Wheeler
How has everything with the football season been going so far?
“Everything so far has been going good and in our direction, [we] hope to keep it going.”

Have you been pleased with how you have played this season?
“I’d say I’m pleased overall but there’s always something that can be improved.”

How do you feel your team has played?
“I think our team is all in to winning that next game and fighting no matter the circumstance.”

What do you feel your team can improve on?
“Our team can improve on our pass game efficiency and limit mental mistakes.”

What are the keys for your team being successful going forward?
“Just to keep fighting, practicing hard, and focusing on the current play we’re on and giving 100%.”

......................................................................................................
Q&A with Black River quarterback Tyler Mrakuzic
How has everything with the football season been going so far?
“Team wise I feel we have really stepped it up in the second half of the season. We started off 0-4 and then have gone to win 5 straight after that. Our main issue was injuries. We lost 6 starters towards the beginning of the season and those younger guys really had to step up.”

Have you been pleased with how you have played this season?
“Week 2 I dislocated my elbow so I was out until week 7, but [for] week 7,8,9 I am pleased [with] how I played. I still have a lot of work to do to get back to 100 percent but I am just happy to be back out there.”

How do you feel your team has played?
“Our team started off pretty poorly and I think that bad energy hit us. Since week 5 though we haven’t lost and everyone has really started to mesh well. Like I said in the other question all the younger guys are stepping up and that has really helped our team a lot.”

What do you feel your team can improve on?
“I feel our main issue that our team has to work on is starting the games off stronger. Lately we have been a second half kind of team but if we can start off the game how we have been in the second half we could be really good.”

What are the keys for your team being successful going forward?
“A key for our team to be better going forward is to leave the last play behind you. We have one bad play and we blame each other and heads go down. If we can get past that it would really help our team.”

......................................................................................................
Q&A with Fairland wide receiver Kameron Kitts
How has everything with the football season been going so far?
“During this season, I have had a lot of ups and downs including sickness and injuries so I’m really just looking forward to finishing out this season and improving health.”

Have you been pleased with how you have played this season?
“For the times I have been in I feel I could’ve gotten the ball more and should have, but other than that, yes I can’t be upset.”

How do you feel your team has played?
“Our team, we have had a few off games and haven’t been there energy wise but if you take that away we are an amazing team.”

What do you feel your team can improve on?
“We can improve on attacking the ball as a team and swarming the ball carrier to reduce the amount of missed tackles.”

What are the keys for your team being successful going forward?
“If we want to make it far, we will have to keep our heads down and just play ball and execute blocks well.”

......................................................................................................
Q&A with Fairland wide receiver Brycen Hunt
How has everything with the football season been going so far?
“This football season has had some ups and downs but overall, it has been a pretty good year.”

Have you been pleased with how you have played this season?
“I am pretty pleased with how I have played. It could’ve been better, some things changed and we had to adjust but for the most part I’m pleased with it.”

How do you feel your team has played?
“I feel we started the season off strong and then throughout the middle of the season we started to get distracted or something and started falling off. But recently we have found our groove again and I am very proud of my team.”

What do you feel your team can improve on?
“I feel the thing we need to work on is tackle as a whole team, not just 1 or 2 people mak[ing] the tackle, we need to swarm with all 11 of us to tackle.”

What are the keys for your team being successful going forward?
“Trust our coaches and trust each other, study film and work hard every day in practice.”

......................................................................................................
Q&A with Copley quarterback DaOne Owens
How has everything with the football season been going so far?
“The season didn’t go how I anticipated it to go, going 3-8, but I made the best out of it and really enjoyed playing with my guys this year.”

Have you been pleased with how you have played this season?
“I played well compared to last year but there’s always room to improve.”

How do you feel your team has played?
“I am proud of how my team played, we had injuries early in the year which meant young guys stepped up and they handled that well.”

What do you feel your team can improve on?
“I feel my team can improve on being more dedicated and locked in because there would be a lot of people missing practice and a lot of goofing around.”

What are the keys for your team being successful going forward?
“The key for being successful is putting in work in the off season because it will translate when the season comes around.”

“So far everything has been great, we had that loss to Lee County, a very humbling experience, but we came back to beat Northside and are rolling down to TCC this Friday hopefully for a big win.”

Have you been pleased with how you have played this season?
“I’ve been playing well but you know it can always be better so I’m just going to continue to make plays and lead my team.”

How do you feel your team has played?
“I feel like we have played as a unit while in past years we didn’t really have that.”

What do you feel your team can improve on?
“I feel like we can improve on starting faster instead of deciding to play after halftime.”

What are the keys for your team being successful going forward?
“Keys to our success are execution and determination and just being straight up physical.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I do plan on playing college ball, I have not yet committed though so just keep an eye out for that.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?

Q&A with Mcintosh quarterback Tate Morris
How has everything with the football season been going so far?
“So far the season has not started the way that we had hoped, however, I feel that as a team we have made great strides in a positive direction on both sides of the ball and we are going to surprise some teams for the remainder of the season.”

Have you been pleased with how you have played this season?
“For the most part I have been pleased with my performance, especially being a 2nd year quarterback. I am still learning some things and the ins and outs of the position but overall I have been pleased.”

How do you feel your team has played?
“I feel that we have played well at times and poorly at times on both sides of the ball. I feel like we are much better than our record and that we really could be 3-1 if we could erase a couple of mistakes during games. With a new coach and scheme it has been a learning process but we are getting better every week.”

What do you feel your team can improve on?
“I feel like we can improve on both sides of the ball. There is always room for improvement no matter how good you may be performing. Offensively I need to have a better completion rate and get us in the end zone more. Defensively I feel like we are there where we need to be, we just need to tackle better at times.”

What are the keys for your team being successful going forward?
“The keys for our success are going to be to continue to learn and excel in the new schemes that we have on both sides of the ball. We just need to improve each week in all areas of the game. Another key is to be able to keep everyone healthy and focused on the task at hand each day on the field during practice and game time.”
