Q&A with Dutchtown quarterback Michael Johnson
How did the high school football season go overall?
“Football is a team sport and as a team, it could’ve been better for us and that starts with me. We lost some close games and finished the season 6-6. As a leader, I’m confident we’ll do much better this coming up season. We’ve been in the weight room and coming together more as a team during workouts building some strong camaraderie.”
What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“Right now I’m in track and field and during my off time getting some throwing workouts in. Along with that, I’m taking visits and I have the Rivals Camp and Elite 11 camp to attend prior to spring ball. We start spring ball on May 2nd.”
How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“Myself along with the team feels good about this upcoming season and so do the coaches. We’re putting in the work early and consistently to make sure we leave everything on the field; every practice and every game.”
What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“We have some great overall competition and great players we’ll be playing against on the entire schedule and it can be anyone’s game on any given Friday, but if I had to pick one team, I would say Langston Hughes.”
Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“Chase Taylor from Stockbridge for sure. Much respect to him. He’s a beast.”

Q&A with Ware County quarterback Luke Hooks
How did the high school football season go overall?

What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“Currently it is baseball season, but I’m working on getting stronger and this summer my plan is to focus on practicing football and basketball.”
How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“I feel that my team will go into next season hungry and prepared to compete and win a state championship.”
What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“We have a lot of good teams in 4A region 1; four teams in our region have won a state championship in the last 3 years, but our biggest competitor will be ourselves as if we play our game the way we’re supposed to we are talented enough to win it all.”
Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“There are a lot of good players we will face; every team we will play will have D1 talent.”

Q&A with Stockbridge linebacker Jared Anthony
What have you been doing as of late with off-season workouts?
“I have been creating habits of working hard on the field, in the weight room and in the classroom. This every off-season should be a time of improvement, and that’s what I am focusing on.”
What do you feel you have improved on most since last football season?
“I believe I have improved more by just having a better feel for the game when it comes down to just football IQ. The more repetition you get when playing, the better you’ll get. I have got lots of repetition from last season, and it has made me a better football player.”
How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“We will dominate our first 10 games of the season, and compete in our last 5 games of the season. And we will bring the trophy back from State.”
What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“Jones County.”
Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“I am not sure about that.”
