What have you been doing as of late with off-season workouts?
“I have been working out every day this off-season with a personal trainer as well as school workouts. My bench max is up to 290 but I am trying to build up my squat and lower body strength as well.”

What do you feel you have improved on most this off-season?
“Becoming a leader within the team, I feel as if my teammates are starting to look more as a leader rather than just another player on the team.”

How do you feel your team will do this football season?
“I’m unsure how the team is going to do this season. Replacing our QB has brought a lot of change. We have a really young front on the offensive line and we’re putting in a brand-new offense. I think it could be a rocky start this Fall but, towards the end of the season, we will be playing our best football.”

What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“Fannin and Pepperell will both be very tough teams to compete against. Fannin is replacing more of their skill guys, so Pepperell should be the team to beat.”

Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“DJ Rodgers from Pepperell is hands down the toughest player in our region. He’s fast and physical and a very talented ballplayer.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, I hope to play football in college.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I just received an offer from Arizona Christian, but I’ve had several coaches reaching out to me. Locally, the Shorter and Reinhardt have been in contact and invited me to camp. UAB has invited me to their Friday Night Lights camp. I’ve been talking to the staff from Lyon College in Arkansas, Wingate, NC, Ithaca, NY, South Alabama, Ripon College, and several others.”

What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“Arizona Christian University was my first offer. They came into the picture a little later than the others but their Safeties Coach, Coach Art, called me and we talked for a while. He liked my tape and offered me right there, so definitely Arizona Christian.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“No official visits this off-season.”

Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“I will be visiting UAB this Friday and Coach Peeples from Reinhardt is setting up a visit there.”

Have you done any camps this off-season? How do you feel you performed?
“I have attended two camps this year. The Elite100 FBU camp in Atlanta and the VTO Top 200 camp at Denmark High. I feel I competed well and gave the coaches a chance to see how I handle myself as a person and a player. They definitely helped me be a better football player and gave me a chance to compete with guys committed to D1 programs.”

Do you have any plans for camps ahead?
“I will be attending the Friday Night Lights camp at UAB this Friday.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“I’ve always been an FSU fan since I was a kid. I participated in the FSU camp for three straight years and had a chance to work with several of their players, including Derwin James.”
