Q&A with Effingham County linebacker Tucker Wilson

What have you and your team been doing as of late to get ready for the fall?
“We have been spending a lot of time together as a family growing our relationship with each other. We also have been working really hard in the weight room and on the field to improve our skills.”

What do you feel you have improved on the most since football ended?
“I have improved the most on my leadership and being a good example to build my teammates up. I was also able to improve my weight by building more muscle.”

How do you feel your team will do this football season?
“It is hard to say how we will do this football season since we have not played anyone yet. It will all depend on if we can execute and perform what we have been practicing. I like where we are at and the effort we have been putting in. I feel like there are great things coming up for the Rebels.”

What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“It is hard to say what team will be the toughest since our region has many great teams in it. Each week will be tough, we just have to show up and execute.”

Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“There are many great players as well that we will face this year. Each team we face has good players on each side of the ball that we will have to watch out for.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I would love to play football in college.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I have had a couple colleges who have emailed me including Kennesaw, Mercer, and Dartmouth. It’s all about finding the right fit for me.”

What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“Kennesaw and Mercer have been recruiting me the hardest.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“I have been able to go to Mercer, Georgia tech, and Kennesaw.”

What camps did you attend this summer? How did the camps go overall?
“I attended the Mercer, Lagrange, and Kennesaw camps this summer. Overall, all of the camps went well. I was able to showcase my talent and talk to a few coaches.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
Growing up I loved college football but did not have a favorite school academically.”
