What have you and your team been doing as of late to get ready for the fall?
“Since February we have been participating in early morning weight training and conditioning. This summer we had several padded camps and 7v7 tournaments to help prepare us for the season. We're now in fall camp mode, installing game plans and preparing for the season.”
What do you feel you have improved on the most since football ended?
“In the off season, I focused on film study, I wanted to become a better student of the game. The more I know about my opponent the better prepared I am, and the game slows down so I can do more reads, react, and attack and less thinking.”
How do you feel your team will do this football season?
“Our team has two goals this season, one Region Champions and two State Champions. Anything less is a disappointment.”
What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“I believe the toughest team on our schedule I face in practice daily, when I go up against our offense and defense. That’s no disrespect to our opponents just a complement to my teammates on how hard we have worked during the off season “
Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“To be honest I believe I’m the toughest player my team will play against this season, in practice I try to prepare my teammates for all three phases of the game. They do a good job preparing me as well, best on best, iron sharpens iron.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I will play football in college.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I have a total of 48 D1 offers, they are from all P5 conferences, the Ivy League as well. My final 5 Schools are Penn State, Michigan, Kansas State, Stanford and Texas Tech.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“All schools have been in touch daily and I have a good relationship with all of the coaches.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“Since my freshman year I have probably been on 30 unofficial visits, this summer I took three official visits: Texas Tech, Stanford and Kansas State. I will take my last two in the fall.”
What camps did you attend this summer? How did the camps go overall?
“I was invited to several national camps this spring and summer, however with my busy schedule I only attended the Under Armor Camp and The Nike Opening. Both camps were competitive with good coaching.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Favorite College growing up was Clemson, I played youth ball for North Henry Tigers, our uniforms were identical.”
