How has everything with the football season been going so far?
“Everything this season has been going amazing with the amount of reps on both sides of the ball, my level of playing, the energy on my team, and also the college recruiting phase.”
Have you been pleased with how you have played this season?
“I would say I’ve been pleased, but never satisfied. I always want to get better on the field and play to the best of my ability not only for myself, but for my team.”
How do you feel your team has played?
“I feel like my team has given the effort we need to go deep into the playoffs, but all we need to do now is execute. Although we have that intent and need for success, we need to focus on the field.”
What do you feel your team can improve on?
“I feel like my team can improve on, like I just said, executing but also doing our job. Everyone is focused on the overall play, but if everyone focused on their own job, then things would go a lot smoother, especially on offense.”
What are the keys for your team being successful going forward?
“For our team to be successful going forward now that we are going into region play, we need to focus and drive through these last few weeks. We need to hit the other team in the mouth on the FIRST play. Not in the second quarter or second half, but on THE first play.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I have been wanting to play college ball for a while now and, with the help of my dad, I was able to focus down on some schools such as Davidson, Furman, University of Pennsylvania, Dartmouth, Yale, and others along the line of academically advanced schools.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“As I am a junior, I have only been allowed to talk to D1 schools since September 1st. Since then, I have been invited to games by coaches such as UChicago, UPenn, Dartmouth, St. Thomas (St. Paul, MN), and hopefully more to come.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“The school I have had the most contact with is most likely St. Thomas. Earlier this year my dad, who played football at St. Thomas, and I went on an unofficial visit to meet the coaches and take a college tour. I have also kept in touch with coaches since then.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“Like I said earlier, I have made some unofficial visits and am scheduled for more this fall.”
Do you have plans for game day trips?
“This fall I went to UChicago and a teammate, who is committed to Vanderbilt University, took me along on his trip up there. Also like I said earlier, I am visiting UPenn, Dartmouth, and St. Thomas.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“When I grew up, my favorite college was always Clemson because that’s where my mom went, but recently I have started cheering for the colleges that I am looking at attending such as the schools I listed above.”
