What have you and your team been doing as of late to get ready for the fall?
“Our main focus is to have high level intensity and high-level energy practices every time we step in between those white lines. Coach Collins and the coaching staff make it a point to let us know every day our success from last year comes mainly from the fact that we did everything with purpose and did everything the way a champion would do it. So that’s what we do every day.”
What do you feel you have improved on the most since football ended?
“I have been focused on improving my speed and leadership constantly. Those two things are really important to me and especially leadership with all the seniors we lost.”
How do you feel your team will do this football season?
“We’re going to have another good year because that’s what we’ve worked for.”
What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“River Ridge. Coach Collins never talks about another team. If we take care of ourselves, we will get everything we deserve.”
Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“Amhere Morrison every day in practice.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I’d love to be able to play both football and basketball in college but it’s safe to say football is the most likely option.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I’ve talked to Clemson, NC State, App State, and Yale. Interest from many others.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“Right now, NC State and Clemson have been talking to me more than the rest.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I’ve been to NC State and had to cancel my camp and visit to Clemson.”
What camps did you attend this summer? How did the camps go overall?
“I cut my camp season short but still attended NC state and South Carolina. Great experiences at both and they went well.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“I loved UGA when I was younger and used to watch all their games.”
