Q&A with Sprayberry defensive back Jorden Edmonds

What have you been doing as of late with off-season workouts?
“I train with DB Coach, Oliver Davis, owner of Sweet Feet Sports Performance. I go to him several times a week when possible; I am also still lifting with my high school teammates. I try to go to plyometric training at Precision Step Performance with Jamaree Gorden and get adjusted by Dr. Colby Smith of Better You Chiropractic.”

What do you feel you have improved on most since last football season?
“I've improved on my speed, overall footwork and technique, becoming more physical.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“Our team will be good.”

What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“Our toughest competition will probably be in the play-offs.”

Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“I don't know.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, I will be playing football in college.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I currently have 43 division 1 offers.”

What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“I am verbally committed to Alabama.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“Yes, I've been to several colleges, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, Oklahoma, Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Georgia State.”

Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“I have official visits scheduled this summer with Alabama, Tennessee and Georgia.”

What camps are you planning to do this summer?
“To be determined.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Alabama.”

What have you been doing as of late with off-season workouts?
“I have been in the weight room and running on the track.”

What do you feel you have improved on most since last football season?
“I feel I have improved on running through contact.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“I feel pretty confident that my team will go all the way this year.”

What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“I feel the toughest team we will play this year will be Carrollton.”

Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“I believe Devin Carter will be the toughest player my team will face.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes I want to play football in college and I would like to play for the best team for me.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“FIU and KSU have both offered me.”

What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“They both have been the same.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“I have been to KSU for a junior day.”

Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“I have plans to go to FIU soon.”

What camps are you planning to do this summer?
“This summer I will be going to camps at UGA, Georgia Tech, and a mega camp at Mercer University.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“My favorite college growing up was UGA.”

Q&A with Grayson outside linebacker Lawrence Brown Jr.

What have you been doing as of late with off-season workouts?
“I’ve been grinding 5–6 days a week. I’m hitting the weight room heavy to bulk up, focusing on strength and explosiveness. I’ve also been doing speed and agility work, position-specific drills, and mobility sessions to stay flexible and healthy.”

What do you feel you have improved on most since last football season?
“My get-off and hand placement have gotten a lot sharper. I’m more explosive off the edge, and my bend has improved. I’m also recognizing plays faster — my football IQ definitely leveled up.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“We’ve got the talent and mindset to run it back. There’s a target on our back, but the hunger’s still there. Our chemistry is even stronger, and we’re locked in.”

What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“Probably Thompson. They’re physical and well-coached. That game will be a war, but we’ll be ready. Plus they’ll be looking for revenge.”

Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“We’ll have to see next season.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes sir, I want to play D1 football — outside linebacker or edge rusher.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I’ve been in contact with schools from the SEC, ACC, and American Conference — places like Wake Forest, UNC, NC State, and others.”

What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“Right now, it’s probably NC State. They’ve stayed consistent, checking in, showing love, and being real about how I’d fit into their system.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“Yes — I’ve visited a few campuses unofficially. Got to meet some coaching staff and feel out the environment.”

Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“For sure. I’m planning some visits over the summer and fall. I want to get a real feel for each place before making any big decisions.”

What camps are you planning to do this summer?
“I don’t plan to do many college camps but I’ll be at a few college visits. NC State, UNC, Tulane and Pitt. Mainly ones where the schools have already shown interest. I’m also hitting a few big national showcases.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Not really — I always respected teams that develop their players and win with discipline and toughness, no matter the logo.”

Q&A with Sandy Creek safety Rod Smith Jr.

What have you been doing as of late with off-season workouts?
“Well I’ve been going to my local gym, mainly to bulk up and gain more weight, I also go to my DB trainer, Oliver Davis & work on my technique when it comes to covering & my footwork.”

What do you feel you have improved on most since last football season?
“Since my last season, I’ve most improved in my technique when it comes to coverage and also I’ve improved in my knowledge for the game.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“I believe this next season will be very special especially for the defense because we’re starting to run a 4-2-5 and personally I love it and I feel very good about this upcoming season.”

What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“I think the best competition we have this year is maybe East Coweta.”

Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“I honestly don’t know any individual players that we’re soon to face against.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I absolutely do want to play football in college. But I would love to go to Duke, NC State, or Wake Forest.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“Wofford and Duquesne have offered me so far.”

What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“I would say Wofford.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“I have not made any college trips yet but I plan on camping a lot this summer to open a lot of doors for scholarships etc.”

Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“I plan on camping a lot during the summer.”

What camps are you planning to do this summer?
“Mercer mega camp, Duke Prospect, NC State, Wake Forest, & Charlotte.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Back then, I liked Oregon growing up but that was only because of their uniforms.”

What have you been doing as of late with off-season workouts?
“This off-season, I’ve been locked in on getting stronger and faster. I’ve been in the weight room five days a week and doing speed/agility work on the weekends. I’ve also been hitting position-specific drills to stay sharp and improve my footwork and reaction time.”

What do you feel you have improved on most since last football season?
“Since last season, I’ve really improved my burst off the line and my ability to read offenses. I’ve also gotten more disciplined with film study, which has helped my football IQ grow a lot.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“I feel like we’re going to make a lot of noise this season. We’ve got talent on both sides of the ball, and our chemistry is strong. If we stay healthy and stay focused, we’re definitely making a playoff run.”

What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“I feel like all the teams on our schedule are going to be tough. I don't see one being tougher than the other, they’re all great teams.”

Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“There really hasn’t been one player on a team better than the others, they’re all good.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, I definitely want to play football at the next level.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I’ve had interest from schools like Georgia State, South Florida, Arkansas State, Texas A&M, Missouri State.”

What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“Right now, South Florida, Arkansas State, and Missouri State, they’ve all been showing the most consistent interests. They’ve been checking in regularly and watching my development closely.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“Yes, I’ve taken unofficial visits to Georgia State and South Florida.”

Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“Yes, I plan to visit Coastal Carolina and possibly Georgia State, South Florida and Arkansas State this summer.”

What camps are you planning to do this summer?
“I’m planning on attending two Mega Camps and the Georgia camp and also North Carolina.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Growing up, I was always a fan of Georgia. Watching them compete at a high level and seeing local talent succeed there was big motivation.”
