Q&A with Heard County inside linebacker Antonio Heath
How did the high school football season go overall?
“Overall the season didn’t go as planned or how we wanted it to go. We had a big loss in leadership with Antwon passing during the summer that I don’t think we completely shook back from until the end of the season but allowed us to grow closer.”
What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“I plan on just getting back in the weight room, and going to camps to continue to grow my game and learn more techniques and drills I can apply to in-game situations.”
How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“I feel that we’ll be way better and should look like a different team next year. I mean we lost a couple of guys but we are still keeping a large portion of the team. I think we were just a young team but now that everyone’s played we’re good to go.”
What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“Bowdon are two-time state champs and Bremen beat us last year so both will be great challenges for us moving forward.”
Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“I think Kaiden Prothro from Bowdon is a pretty good player and one that will challenge us.”

Q&A with North Cobb wide receiver Steele Ingram
How did the high school football season go overall?
“Overall it was a good year. We play probably the toughest schedule in America and don’t shy away from playing anyone. Our non-region games were against Westlake, Buford, Marietta and NS Warner Robins. That set us up for a great run in the region. We were disappointed with our first round playoff exit but it’s tough to compete in 7-A with 8 starters out. But we didn’t use that as an excuse and just competed.”
What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“We are all in year-round weight training classes. We never stop. We’ve got the top strength program in the state, no doubt. I just focus on getting stronger and continue to work on speed and agility. I’m also on the Football Leadership Council and we work every week on becoming better leaders.”
How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“We always have high expectations so we’re always working to get better. We have a talented group of skill players returning along with our QB. Our OL is always as good as you’ll find and we have experience coming back there too. Defensively, our front will be very good and we have athletes in the secondary.”
What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“We are loaded with playoff teams on our schedule. It’s hard to pick just one. We always get everyone’s best. I’m looking forward to going to Walton and getting our region championship trophy. It belongs to North Cobb.”
Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“Bear McWhorter at Cass has proven he’s a tough player. Jake Ellis is another one they have. Those two may be the toughest two we see next year.”
