Q&A with Flowery Branch linebacker Cam Haynes
How has everything with the football season been going so far?
“I have had a great season, stayed healthy, had a lot of fun, and made the playoffs.”
Have you been pleased with how you have played this season?
“Indeed, by far my most productive year. I came off injury last year, shed a little weight, gained some speed and it has paid off. Double digit tackles pretty consistently every game.”
How do you feel your team has played?
“Our team has played tough. We aren’t the biggest but our Sr’s have really stepped up and led our younger guys. We had great QB play from Josh Oliver. Our goal was to make the postseason and we accomplished that.”
What do you feel your team can improve on?
“We need size, it's hard to really “improve” that though. We do need to come out a little faster, been a little slow in a few games and luckily we have been able to turn around and make it up but this week we will really need to come out at 200%.”
What are the keys for your team being successful going forward?
“Keep grinding and working together. We have a great group and great coaches, we just need to keep getting better every day.”
