Q&A with North Cobb quarterback Nick Grimstead
How did/is everything going football wise as of late?
“Late in the season we were good then playoffs came and I felt the team got comfortable with our opponent which showed on Friday night. I have to continue to get better this off-season by getting in the weight room, watching film, and working with my QB trainer, Ron Veal, to ensure my mechanics and mindset are correct.”
What do you feel your team can continue to improve on going forward?
“Definitely In all aspects of the game. There’s always room for improvement in everything on the field. We have to finish games better. We had Walton down and let them come back to beat us. We beat Milton. Those two teams are great and are in the semifinals this week. If we can play with them we can play with anybody.”
Have you been pleased with your performances?
“In certain aspects of the game I was pleased but if I want to get where I want to go, I have to do better. Not just playing the game but as in being a better leader and setting examples. I know I can do more to help this team and I plan to in 2024.”
How do you feel about the play of your team?
“I feel good about the playing style of my team. When you play us you’re going to feel the physicality. We must do a better job of executing in important situations and not beating ourselves with penalties.”
What are your sporting goals going forward as of now?
“Sporting goals I have are to lead my team deeper into the playoffs to give us a chance for a championship run. I play baseball also so I would like to see where that goes as well. I want to continue the recruiting process with colleges. not just for me, but for my teammates as well.”
